Butler grad Bailey wins 200-meter title

Butler graduate and Slippery Rock University junior Jasmine Bailey won the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.85 seconds at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships over the weekend.

The time also set an SRU and PSAC indoor record and qualified Bailey for the NCAA Division II national meet.

Slippery Rock High and SRU junior Bre Northcott was fourth in the weight throw with a personal-best effort of 17.03 meters. Her teammate, Brittany Christiansen, broke Northcott’s weight throw record at the PSAC meet with a toss of 17.10.
