Raiders roll in softball opener
Nikki Matz and the Seneca Valley softball team were fast out of the gate.
Playing their first game of 2015, a Section 3-AAAA clash with Pine-Richland Tuesday at Raider Field, the Raiders overwhelmed the Rams 7-2.
Matz earned the victory with 10 strikeouts in a complete game and contributed a single, two doubles and four RBI on offense.
Elayna Nagy added a two-run home run and Marie Marnik a pair of singles and a double.
