Allen wins twice at Westminster

NEW WILMINGTON — Butler graduate and Penn State Behrend sprinter Paige Allen won the 100 and 200 meter runs in a three-team track and field meet Saturday at Westminster College.

Allen won the 100 in 13.06 seconds and the 200 in 27.09.

Fennell, McKee receive honor

Two former Butler High baseball players have been honored by the PSAC.

Mick Fennell, a junior outfielder at California (Pa.) University, has been named PSAC West Player of the Week. He batted .529 and slugged .824 in four games last week, adding six runs scored from the leadoff spot in the Vulcans’ order.

Colin McKee, a sophomore pitcher at Mercyhurst, garnered PSAC West Pitcher of the Week accolades. In his only start of the week, McKee worked six scoreless innings, striking out 12 batters in a 5-2 win over Gannon.

Big Ben’s camp returning to SV

JACKSON TWP — The eighth annual Ben Roethlisberger Football ProCamp will be June 13-14 at Seneca Valley High School.

The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and is open to boys and girls of all skill levels in grades 1-8.

Participants will learn fundamental football skills and will have the opportunity to meet and interact with Roethlisberger. Each camper will receive an autograph from Roethlisberger and a team photo with him.
