'Perfect Wedding'

Red Barn Players' season starts with comedy

FRANKLIN TWP, Beaver County — The regular summer season of the Red Barn Players will open with the farce called “Perfect Wedding” by Robin Hawdon.

The show will run for eight performances beginning June 5.

It is directed by John Zuemie of Cranberry Township.

In the play, a bridegroom awakes on his wedding day in his hotel room with a strange girl. He's suffering from a bachelor party hangover and has no idea who the girl is. Worse, during the ensuing panic the bride arrives and the girl is trapped in the bathroom.

The cast includes Chrissy Zuemie of Cranberry Township, Annette Quinn of Mars, Tom Bickert of Ellwood City, Kathi Finch of Wexford, Robert Hazen of New Castle, and Hazel Zimmerman of New Brighton.

Performances are set for 8 p.m. June 5 and 6, 11 to 13 and 18 to 20 at the Red Barn Theatre on Route 228, the Ellwood-Zelienople Road.

Other shows in the summer season will be:

“Moon Over Buffalo,” comedy, July 10 and 11, 16 to 18, and 23 to 25

“The Foursome,” comedy, Aug. 14 and 15, 20 to 22, and 27 to 29

“Jerry's Girls,” musical, Sept. 18 and 19, 23 to 26, and 30 and Oct. 1 to 3.

Tickets are $12 for plays and $15 for musicals.
