Olive Mae Fisher

Olive Mae (Rice) Fisher, 90, of Cranberry Township passed away surrounded by her family Tuesday at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born April 28, 1925, in Harmony, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Sidney and Mazie Rice.

Olive was a graduate of Zelienople High School and was a member of the Grace Church of Harmony, where she taught Sunday school for many years.

For over 20 years, she was a cook and baker at the Cranberry Hall Dining Room, where she was known for making the delicious clover leaf rolls and pies.

Olive faithfully read her Bible, loved collecting hummingbirds, solving word search puzzles and engaging in any type of game that involved numbers. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her five children, Gerry Fisher of Monterey, Tenn., Donald Fisher of Albany, Ga., Robert Fisher and his wife, Mary, of Butler, Karen Christopher Wagner and her husband, Dan, of Cranberry Township and Carol Pollock and her husband, Dan of Cranberry Township; her sister, Burnsettia Gibson; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Olive was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Howard E. Fisher, who she married on Aug. 19, 1945, and who passed away on June 9, 2006; her infant granddaughter, Nicole Pollock; her son-in-law, George Christopher; nine brothers; and one sister.

FISHER — The family of Olive Mae Fisher, who died Tuesday, June 2, 2015, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.Additional visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the funeral ceremony at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. John Hoogerbrugge officiating.She will be laid to rest with an honorary dove release at the Grace Church of Harmony Cemetery.Olive's great-grandfather was one of the five founding families of Harmony. In lieu of flowers, her family kindly suggests memorial contributions be made in her honor in support of the Harmony Museum, P.O.
