Town Crier

The Butler County Commissioners on Monday said they are expected to vote today on these items:

A contract with Westlaw for electronic and print services for the county law library and courts. The contract combines multiple, current contracts into one document, includes an annual increase of up to 2 percent, and monthly payments of $14,969.

A proposal from Com-Tec to update the security PC control system at the county prison for a total cost of $58,000. The proposal includes 14 new computers, a server and software.

A contract with Syntrio for computerized training of employees. Human Services director Joyce Ainsworth said the agreement includes a one-time $250 setup fee and a $9-per-use charge. She said the software could help the county limit the amount of time employees spend in group training sessions.

An ordinance amending the county’s intergovernmental cooperation agreement for its HealthChoices Agreement with Pennsylvania Department of Human Services. Ainsworth said the action would allow Butler and its five partner counties to enter into a single contract for behavioral health services funded through Medicaid. There would be no changes made to the county’s current service contract.

Modify the use of $15,737 in state grant funds used to fund a sidewalk and curb cuts project in West Sunbury. The money is currently designated for use in Cranberry Township.

Make these appointments to the Butler County Community College board of trustees: Sarah Forbes to the unexpired term of Richard Rittelmann, which ends July 2017; Carmine Scotece to fill the unexpired term of Paul Harris, which ends July 2019; Bruce Mazzoni for a six-year term ending July 2021; Gordon Marburger for a six-year term ending July 2021; and Scott McDowell to a six-year term ending July 2021
