One vehicle saved in early morning fire
A motor home and pickup truck were destroyed in a blaze in Center Township Monday morning.
The incident was reported as a vehicle fire at 7:59 a.m. at 236 Aggas Road, West Sunbury.
Mike Pflugh, Unionville Fire Department assistant chief, said the incident began when the homeowner heard some popping noises from the direction of the motor home, looked outside his window and saw it ablaze.
After calling 911, Pflugh said the homeowner then attempted to get two vehicles out of the area, but was only successful in moving one.
“He ran back to the pickup truck and saw that it was too involved to safely move,” Pflugh said.
