State police investigating after RV bursts into flames on I-79 North
WORTH TWP. - Emergency crews and police are on scene of a recreational vehicle fire on Interstate 79 northbound in Worth Township near the Butler-Lawrence County line.
Slippery Rock and Portersville fire crews battling the blaze and state police are also on scene.
Authorities report no one was apparently injured when the fire broke out shortly before 8 a.m. in Worth Township.
Northbound traffic remains open at this time.
A dispatcher said the 911 center received about 30 calls soon after the RV burst into flames.
The driver was able to travel to the shoulder of the road and exit the vehicle safely.
It was not immediately known if there were any passengers.
Troopers were also called but a police report was not available.
