Police ask for help finding Muddy Creek homicide suspect
State police are calling for the public's assistance in finding the suspect involved in last week's murder in Muddy Creek Township.
Police have since charged Paris E. Carter, 22, of Downingtown, Chester County, with homicide, but Carter has yet to be arrested.
On May 17, police were called to a gravel pull-off area near 318 Portersville Road in Muddy Creek Township, where a passerby found a person with a gunshot wound to the face in the front-passenger seat of an SUV stopped in that area.
The person has since been identified as David Hines, 38, of New Castle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to charging documents, there were two other men in the vehicle at the time of the shooting, but it is believed Carter pulled the trigger, after an argument between himself and Hines.
Police said anyone with information about the case should call the state police barracks in Butler at 724-284-8100.
Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Carter is asked to call 911.
According to court documents, Carter is a Black man, who is about 5-foot-10-inches tall and weighs 160 pounds.
