Your CBD Store moves to Moraine Pointe
Those suffering from sleep issues, anxiety, arthritis, neurological disorders, joint pain or almost any discomfort can now drive to Moraine Pointe Plaza to try a natural remedy for themselves or their pets.
Todd Korenich, who owns Your CBD Store with his wife, Janine, said he moved from his previous location on Evans City Road to offer more products to his customers.
“We're trying to grow the store,” Korenich said.
His journey into the world of CBD treatment for any and all ills that strike the body began when he was a contractor building out the first of more than 20 Your CBD Store locations in the Pittsburgh area, which was in Gibsonia.
Korenich was having difficulty with sleeping each night and experiencing the normal aches and pains associated with his job as a builder.
He also had dogs that suffered greatly from anxiety during storms, fireworks or other loud noises.
A discussion with the Your CBD Store owner led him to try the products on himself and his pets, and he has never looked back.
“I jumped right in because I believe in the product and what it did for me and for my dogs,” Korenich said.
Then an Evans City resident, Korenich decided to open a Your CBD Store in Butler.
Korenich said CBD resets the endocannabinoid system, which is the body's largest receptor system.
The CBD — which is a derivative of cannabis, but does not contain THC — binds with receptors, reduces inflammation and gets the body back to its natural state.
“All of the pain in the body comes from inflammation,” Korenich said. “The endocannabinoid system is supposed to help with that, and CBD kicks that system into gear.”
He said many patients who stop by his store try a sample and return to purchase a product as soon as the sample begins to work.
Many returning customers are older, as the effects of aging take hold, Korenich said.
Once a customer is in the store, there is no guesswork associated with selecting a product, as all employees are trained to help clients with their individual needs.
“What works for one person might not work for another,” he said.
Another large part of the job at Your CBD Store, Korenich said, is educating people on CBD and its benefits.
“People don't understand what it is or why it will work for them,” he said.
Others might have tried CBD in the past to no avail, but they might just need a different type of product for their issues.
CBD, which does not require any type of card or permission to buy, comes in an oil placed under the tongue, a water soluble drink mix, topicals for the neck, joints and other aching body parts, vapes and a wide range of gummies.
Korenich said each product is matched to the needs of the customer for optimum relief. Once customers realize they are feeling better, they return regularly to restock their product.
“We're not just here to sell you something,” Korenich said.
Pets also are the beneficiaries of CBD products, which come in a variety of treats and oils that taste like bacon, peanut butter and other flavors that are irresistible to furry family members.
Your CBD Store stocks Sunmed products in their 400-plus shops across the United States.
“When I first started, there were 60-some products,” Korenich said. “Now, there are 180. Sunmed is constantly coming up with new products.”
The Moraine Pointe Plaza Your CBD Store is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
