BHS offering Pfizer vaccine, boosters at two locations

The Butler Health System vaccine clinic is now offering first and second doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and booster shots at Butler Memorial Hospital and the BHS Crossroads Campus.

The Butler Health System vaccine clinic is now offering first and second doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and booster shots at Butler Memorial Hospital and the BHS Crossroads Campus.

The Pfizer vaccine boosters are approved for health care workers, individuals over the age of 65, residents of long-term care facilities, ages 50 to 64 with underlying medical conditions, and ages 18 to 49 with underlying medical conditions based on their individual risks. The recommended time frame to receive a Pfizer booster is at least six months after the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Boosters have not been approved for those in the 16- to 18-year-old age group.

Appointments can be scheduled at www.butlerhealthsystem.org. People without a computer and those who need assistance should contact the Butler County Center for Community Resources at 888-550-7468 Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
