4:13 p.m. Monday - Philip Cypher, 38, of 227 Bonniebrook Road was arrested following a domestic dispute at the Center Avenue home of his estranged 35-year-old wife.Cypher was arraigned on charges of simple assault and violating a court-issued protection from abuse order, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $6,000 bond.

3 p.m. Sunday - Two men were arrested for allegedly trying to buy items at the Wal-Mart store at Butler Commons after altering the price tag on the merchandise. Kevin Metro, 29, of Bridgeville, Allegheny County, and Shawn Sisson, 28, of Canonsburg, Washington County, are charged with retail theft in the case.2:30 p.m. Saturday - Joann Mavilla, 45, and Bart Bailey, 47, both of West Sunbury, were arrested for allegedly attempting to redeem a welder at the Wal-Mart store at Butler Commons that they had not bought. The defendants were arraigned on retail theft charges and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $2,000 bond each.1:23 p.m. Friday - Vehicles driven by David Litzak, 17, of Cooperstown and Evelyn Dillon, 44, of Lyndora collided on Route 8 near the Picklegate Crossing. Both drivers suffered minor injuries. Litzak was cited for a stop sign violation.

2:25 p.m. Monday - A truck driven by Steve Detwiler, 29, of Mars and a car driven by Hannah Megown, 22, of Templeton, Armstrong County, collided at Route 356 and Marwood Road in Jefferson Township. Both drivers, who were wearing seatbelts, suffered minor injuries.1:30 a.m. Monday - Joseph Hicks, 21, accidentally shot himself in the leg while cleaning a pistol at his Orchid Lane home in Brady Township. Hicks was taken with a gunshot wound to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. His condition was not known this morning.1 p.m. Friday - Tyler Irvin, 20, of 220 East Wood Drive was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at his Summit Township apartment.
