Suspect pulls gun, threatens to kill woman

PERRY TWP, Clarion County - A 23-year-old Parker man remains jailed on charges he pulled a gun on a woman and threatened to kill her, state police said.

Darryl Everett Jr. is accused of attempted homicide in the case. He is in the Clarion County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Police said Everett around 1:30 a.m. Friday drove a 22-year-old New Bethlehem woman, whom police did not identify, to a secluded area near Bela and Monterey roads in southwestern Clarion County near the Butler County line.

"(Everett) displayed a firearm and stated to the victim that he was going to kill her," a police report said.

The woman managed to get out of the parked car and run through the woods to a home where she called police.

Troopers arrived and found the defendant in his car. He was arrested without incident and arraigned before District Justice Daniel George.
