Raymond Kennedy of Saxonburg celebrated his 90th birthday with an open house on April 24 at the Saxonburg Library. The event was hosted by his family.

Kennedy was born April 18, 1914, in Fawn Township.

He has been married to the former Pauline Troutman for 68 years. They have two daughters, Karen Kennedy of Saxonburg and Gail Slezak of Frederick, Md.

Kennedy worked at Allegheny Lumber Company of Tarentum for 41 years until his retirement in 1977.

He is a member of Pleasant Unity Presbyterian Church of Tarentum.
