Clara Marbell

God's finger touched Clara Marbell at age 84, and she slipped away from Earth's dark shadows to a brighter day, a heavenly land of perfect rest.

She died Thursday morning at her Franklin Street home in Prospect

Born March 9, 1920, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Frank and Agnes Hoffman Attenberg.

She was a homemaker, enjoyed playing solitaire and collected the Denim Days Collection from Home Interiors.

Mrs. Marbell was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Prospect.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Marbell Sr., with whom she celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 15; a son and daughter-in-law, Art and Lorinda Marbel of Prospect; a son-in-law and daughter, Richard and Eileen Roxbury of Prospect; four grandchildren and their spouses, Lori and Tim Durso of Prospect, Rich and Jenn Roxbury of Butler, Shelly and Steve Wilson of East Brady and Mindy Marbell of Pittsburgh; and two great-granddaughters, Laken and Madison Roxbury of Butler. A sister, Rita Hotz of Pittsburgh, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

A brother and two sisters preceded her in death.

MARBELL - Friends of Clara Marbell, who died Thursday July 1, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at EDWARD L RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME, 387 Main St., Prospect. The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Brown, her church pastor, officiating.
