Rev. David D. Wilson
The Rev. David D. Wilson, 77, of 430 Vista Drive died at 7 a.m. Thursday at Sunnyview Nursing Home.
Born Sept. 16, 1926, in South Fork, Cambria County, he was the son of John D. and Margaret Truscott Wilson.
Rev. Wilson retired June 30, 1991, as a United Methodist Minister for the Western Pennsylvania Conference.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed woodworking, knitting, crocheting, reading and needlepoint.
Surviving are his wife, Esther I. Henderson Wilson, whom he married June 9, 1948; two sons, the Rev. David D. Wilson Jr. and his wife, Nancy, of Ellwood City, and Richard A. Wilson and his wife, Diane, of St. Louis, Mo.; a daughter, Ruth Rea and her husband, Richard, of Pierpont, Ohio; and a brother, John A. Wilson and his wife, Margaretta, of Monroeville.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, Sean Wilson and his wife, April; Jennifer Wilson; and Margaret "Meg," Richard Merle III and Katelyn Rea; and a great-grandson, Tyler Wilson.
WILSON - Friends of the Rev. David D. Wilson, who died Thursday, July 1, 2004, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will at 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. J. David Panther officiating.
