Cranberry to host finance committee
CRANBERRY TWP - The Pennsylvania House Finance Committee will have the second in a series of hearings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the township municipal building on legislation to eliminate school property taxes.
Representatives Sam Rohrer, R-Berks; Mario Scavello, R-Monroe; and Rod Wilt, R-Mercer, will talk.
Other speakers who will testify before the committee include: John Cassidy, a finance and economics consultant; Ed Reese, government relations chair of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania; Frank Julian of Federated Department Stores; Pittsburgh City Council President Gene Riccardi, Nancy Wright and Jerry Speer of the Realtor Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh, and Angelo Bleggi of the Tax Reform Ethics Committee.
