Andrew J. Hohman
Andrew J. Hohman, 90, of New Sewickley Township, Beaver County, died Tuesday at UPMC Passavant Cranberry.
Born June 6, 1914, in Ingomar, he was the son of Harry and Minnie Wagner Hohman.
A World War II Army veteran, he retired as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of Local 66 of the Operating Engineers Union for 58 years. He also belonged to the Pennsylvania Pony Pulling Association.
Mr. Hohman was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Highland, McCandless.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Hohman, whom he married Sept. 24, 1949; a son, Charles Hohman of Crestview, Fla.; two daughters, Sandra Link of Portales, N.M., and Kathy Laue of Connoquenessing Township; two brothers, Earl and Roy Hohman, both of Cranberry Township; and four sisters, Lucy Logan and Wilma Gruver, both of Ross Township, Jane Schmidt of McCandless Township and Betty Layden of Allison Park. Seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter also survive.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
