Grove City College junior safety Aaron Margo was named Presidents' Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Margo recorded a career-high 15 tackles, including four for losses of seven yards, and broke up a pass Saturday in the Wolverines' 16-14 triumph at Carnegie Mellon.

Knoch graduate Anthony Beilstein, a sophomore goalkeeper on the Westminster College men's soccer team, recorded his third shutout in four games Saturday as the Titans defeated Penn State-Behrend, 2-0.Beilstein had a pair of saves for Westminster (4-0).

Sarah Arsenault, a senior on the Slippery Rock University women's soccer team, was named the PSAC Western Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.Arsenault scored four goals in three gams, including game-winners against previously unbeaten Mercyhurst 2-0 and a double-overtime victory against Indiana (Pa.).She also posted a game-tying goal in a 2-2 game against No. 17 LIU-Southampton.

Travis Dickson (Cranberry Township) and Joe Boros (Saxonburg) of Treesdale Golf and Country Club fired a 30-35-65 to force a sudden-death playoff and won on the fourth hole at the Tri-State Section PGA Tournament at Cedarbrook Golf Club in Belle Vernon Monday.The duo won the better-ball-of-two event with a birdie. They had tied Bryan Abbott and Roy Vucinich through 18 holes.Rob McClellan of Olde Stonewall and John Aubrey Sr. of Aubrey's Dubbs Dred, both of Butler, finished in third place with a 31-35-66.
