Alice Raabe Kummer

Alice W. Raabe Kummer, 90, of Autumn Grove Care Center in Harrisville, formerly of Butler Arbors on Lincoln Avenue, died at 3:25 a.m. Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born July 29, 1914, in Butler, she was the daughter of August Raabe and Nancy Hamel.

Mrs. Kummer had been a machinist at Spaide Shirt Factory.

She was a member of the Golden Age Club, AARP, Tanglewood Senior Center and Sunnyview Auxiliary.

Surviving are three sons, Charles F. "Fred" Kummer of Jefferson City, Mo., Ronald A. Kummer of Butler and Jack L. Kummer of Laurel, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Rudolph (Delores) Bowser of Butler; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Two sisters and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Her husband, Wilbur F. Kummer, died March 7, 1972. Three brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.

KUMMER - Private services for Alice W. Raabe Kummer, who died Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, will be held at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.
