Steve Minton, a freshman on the Thiel College football team, was named Tomcat Offensive Player of the Week.

The Seneca Valley graduate rushed for 109 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns in Thiel's 45-14 win over Bluffton Saturday.

Sarah Arsenault, a senior forward on the SRU women's soccer team, captured the PSAC West Player of the Week award.Arsenault scored two goals, including the game-winner, in a 4-3, come-from-behind overtime win over Edinboro. She also added a game-winner against Lock Haven.

The Butler duo of Dennis Baglier and Marty Luffy finished 32nd overall and 11th in their class at the Grand AM Cup three-hour race recently at the Homestead-Miami Speedway.Because there was no qualifying and they missed the last few races, Baglier and Luffy had to start at the back of the 50-car field.
