Mars graduate Mallory Bugel, a freshman defender on the Westminster College women's soccer team, scored a goal in the team's 5-0 victory over Waynesburg Friday.

The win improved the Titans to 10-2-1 overall and 5-0-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference.

Steve Minton, a freshman on the Thiel football team, rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown as the Tomcats (4-2, 2-1) defeated Grove City College 24-9 Saturday in a Presidents Athletic Conference game.In five games this season, the Seneca Valley graduate has rushed for 509 yards. He needs 399 yards in the next five games to become the school's single-season rushing leader.Mike Prioletti, also a graduate of Seneca Valley, finished with eight tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery for the Wolverines (3-3).

NEW YORK - Ken Caminiti, the 1996 National League MVP who later admitted using steroids during his major league career, died Sunday. He was 41.Caminiti died of a heart attack in the Bronx, said his agent-lawyer Rick Licht. The city medical examiner's office said an autopsy would be performed Monday, spokeswoman Ellen Borakove said."I'm still in shock," San Diego Padres general manager Kevin Towers said. "He was one of my favorite all-time players."The three-time All-Star third baseman often was in trouble the last few years. His 15-year big league career ended in 2001, five seasons after he led the Padres to a division title and was a unanimous pick for MVP.
