Kelly L. Owens, 92, of Middlesex Township died Thursday morning at Valencia Woods Nursing Center after an illness.

Born in Black Moore, Va., Sept. 23, 1912, he was the son of Elisha and Eliza Owens.

He was a World War II Army veteran and retired as a coal miner at Wildwood Mines.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred R. Bigler Owens, who died Oct, 18, 1986.

Surviving are two daughters, Colliene King Schriver of Valencia and Mrs. Mark (Sandra) Brooks of Saulk Village, Ill.; three sons, Carl S. Bigler of Sanford, Fla., Michael R. Bigler of Valencia, and Kelly L. Owens Jr. of Sanford, Fla.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

OWENS - Friends of Kelly L. Owens, who died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday atMcDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Vernon Borchert, officiating. Burial will be at West Union Cemetery, Pine Township, Allegheny County.
