Navy Midshipman Maureen Kane,

daughter of Elizabeth and George Kane of Gibsonia, recently completed Plebe Summer at the U.S. Naval Academy and has begun four years of preparation for commissioning as a Navy or Marine Corps officer.

Kane is a 2004 graduate of Pine-Richland High School in Gibsonia.

During November, Edward Heeter Sr., regional representative of the Governor's Veterans Outreach and Assistance Center will have office hours at the Butler Armory, 250 Kreiss Road, Room 113, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, and FridayDates and times are subject to change.
