Jane Dumbaugh Dean

Jane Dumbaugh Dean, 85, of 108 Iroquois Drive in Center Township died at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Butler, Oct. 12, 1918, she was the daughter of Arthur O. and Ella Stewart Dumbaugh.

She was a homemaker .

Mrs. Dean was an active member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church, where she belonged to the Ruth Circle and the Hearts and Hands groups. She was formerly active with the North Main Street Church of God and the Christ Outreach Church. She also belonged to the General Federation of Women's Clubs.

Her husband, Chaplain Maj. James Hugh Dean, died March 23, 1991.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harrold (Judith Ann) Cash of Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. James (Maryellen) Brandt of Miami, Fla.; a son, J. Richard Dean of Butler; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; and two step-grandchildren.

DEAN - Friends of Jane Dumbaugh Dean, who died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Molnar and the Rev. Dr. David West officiating. Burial will be at North Side Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
