Margaret S. Dowler

Margaret S. Dowler, 76, of Stafford, Va., formerly of Fombell, died Thursday at Heritage Hall Nursing Home, King George, Va.

Born Nov. 22, 1928, in Ronco, Fayette County, she was the daughter of Robert and Isabella Brown Mitchell.

Mrs. Dowler was a former member of the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church.

She had been employed in the housekeeping department at North Hills Passavant Hospital.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Isabella) Palm of Stafford and Mrs. Danny (Christina) Rendon of Austin, Texas; a son, Robert F. Cole and his wife, Carol, of Spotsylvania, Va.; two brothers, John R. Mitchell of Gibsonia and Robert G. Mitchell of Rehoboth Beach, Del.; and four sisters, Christina Haigh and Mrs. William (Mary) Hughes, both of Fombell, Isabella Harrocks of Rehoboth Beach and Mrs. Frank (Sandra) Jenkins of Pittsburgh. Seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Dowler, who died Jan. 10, 1986, and by a brother, James Mitchell.

DOWLER - Friends of Margaret S. Dowler, who died Thursday, March 3, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 219 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Mitchell Jr., pastor of New Life Community Church, Columbia, Md., officiating. Burial will be at Pinewood Memorial Gardens, Cranberry Township.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNA Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.Online condolences available at www.glennkildoofuneralhome.com.
