Dorothy A. Badger Cromwell Daubenspeck

Dorothy A. Badger Cromwell Daubenspeck, 93, formerly of Pearl Street, died at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Valencia Woods Nursing Center.

Born in Harlansburg, Lawrence County, March 7, 1912, she was the daughter of Alonzo and Sarah Jane Jenkins Badger.

She had been self-employed in housekeeping and home laundry.

Mrs. Daubenspeck was an energetic woman who worked well into her 80s. She enjoyed travelling and saw 49 states and Canada and served as wagon master of the Coachman Travel Club for several years. She also enjoyed cats.

Surviving are two daughters, Sarah Jane Cromwell Wise and Letha Daubenspeck Kuzdrowski; three grandchildren, Jamie W. Smith Lanier, Vernon "Chip" Wise III and Timothy Kuzdrowski; and six great-grandchildren, Vance M. Smith, Evan C. Smith, Bennett V. Smith, Sara Jane Smith, Vernon "CJ" Wise IV and Jessica L. Wise.

Her first husband, George O. Cromwell, died in 1990; and her second husband, Willis Daubenspeck, died in 1996.

<B>DAUBENSPECK</B> - Visitation and services for Dorothy A. Badger Cromwell Daubenspeck, who died Wednesday, March 9, 2005, were private.
