4:10 p.m. Tuesday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Jeremy Appleman, 22, of Kittanning and a car driven by Joyce Hartzell, 41, of Knox, Clarion County, collided on Route 8 near Lakeview Drive in Center Township.2 p.m. Tuesday - Russell Waltman, 49, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck the sun porch of a home on Medical Center Road, Donegal Township. Waltman, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries. Robert Zannella of Chicora owns the house damaged in the crash.4:38 p.m. Monday - Cars driven by Clinton Jensen, 26, of Butler and Wendy Hayden, 47, of West Sunbury collided at Holyoke Road and Orchard Lane in Center Township. Jensen, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries. He was cited for careless driving and other undisclosed traffic violations.3 p.m. Monday - Cars driven by Amanda Andelson, 19, of Chicora and Lou Ann Sacco, 45, of Lyndora collided at Route 8 and Glenwood Way in Center Township. Police said Sacco was stopped for a school bus at the time of the crash.2:50 a.m. Saturday - A car driven by Justin Burch, 18, of Butler struck a utility pole along Main Street in Bruin. Police said Burch, who was cited for several undisclosed traffic violations, apparently fell asleep at the wheel before the crash.
1:35 p.m. Tuesday - Cars driven by Karen Switzer, 53, and Jill Stimac, 34, both of East Brady, collided on Route 68 near Cove Run Road in Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County. Switzer, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.
11:30 a.m. Tuesday - Jack Roddy, 68, of Harrisville suffered an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the hand while target practicing at the Grove City Sportsman's Club on Center Church Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.Police said Roddy was unaware there was a round left in the chamber when he dry-fired his .22-caliber pistol before putting it away. He was alone at the range when he shot himself in the left hand. Roddy drove himself to the United Community Hospital in Pine Township where he was treated and released.Tuesday - Someone between 6:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. smashed the window of a car parked at the Wal-Mart parking lot in Pine Township and took a tote bag containing gym clothes and a pair of eyeglasses. Sara Miller of Emlenton owns the stolen property.10:58 a.m. Monday - Vehicles driven by John Samora, 71, and Brenda Munsch, 31, both of Grove City, collided on Route 173 in Pine Township, Mercer County. Munsch, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with moderate injuries to United Community Hospital in Grove City.
