Linda M. Neff, 56, of Chicora died at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday in Chicora Medical Center following a lingering illness.

Born July 3, 1948, she was the daughter of Donald T. and Mary Lou Slomers Thomas.

Mrs. Neff was a 1967 graduate of Butler High School.

She was employed at Chicora Medical Center as a personal care supervisor for 17 years.

Mrs. Neff was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in North Oakland, the Christian Mothers of the church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the East Butler Fire Department.

Survivors include her husband, Benjamin Neff, whom she married May 16, 1970; a daughter, Mrs. Tyrone (Tracy) Brink of Butler; three sons, Patrick and Chad Neff of Butler and Brian Neff of Chicora; two brothers, Donald Jr. and David Thomas, both of East Butler; four sisters, Carol Chitwood and Mary Sleigher, both of Butler, Mrs. Thomas (Debbie) Raimondi and Mrs. Kevin (Donna) Hayden, both of East Butler; a paternal grandmother, Martha Thomas of East Butler; 11 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

NEFF - Friends of Linda M. Neff, who died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the THOMAS M. STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora. A blessing service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home because of Holy Week. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, North Oakland. The Rev.
