Don and Phyllis Lane of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner Sunday.

The former Phyllis Fonson married Lane on April 30, 1955 at First United Presbyterian Church in Butler.

They have three sons, Donald Lane Jr. of Cranberry Township; David Lane of Richmond, Va.; and Douglas Lane of Butler.

They also have three grandchildren and a step grandson.

Lane is retired from Armco Steel where he worked as a diesel mechanic. He is a member of the Syria Shrine and the Victory Lodge 694.

Mrs. Lane is a teacher's aide and homemaker.

The couple belongs to Hill United Presbyterian Church, where Lane is a member of the session and Mrs. Lane is a member of the choir.
