Edythe R. Charles Ericson, 84, of Valencia Woods, formerly of Richland Township, died Tuesday evening at UPMC Passavant in McCandless Township, Allegheny County.

Mrs. Ericson moved back to Valencia in July 2004 after living in Huntington, Conn., for 25 years.

Born in Mars on March 29, 1921, she was the daughter of Albert and Margaret Shelley Rieck.

She had worked as a teller for Norwalk Savings and Loan.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Janice) Boice of Prospect and Mrs. Paul (Jennifer) Scioletti of Stratford, Conn.; a son, Murray Charles and his wife, Sandra, of Mars; seven grandchildren, Matthew and Dwight Boice and Wendy Holt, Michael and Christine Scioletti, and Amanda and Lynnea Charles; and four great-grandchildren, Sarah and Kelley Boice and Reuben and Buck Holt.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Charles, and by her second husband, Kenton Ericson and by a sister, Dorothy Rieck.

ERICSON - Friends of Edythe R. Charles Ericson, who died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME,238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Mars United Presbyterian Church, Crowe Ave., Mars, with the Rev. Robert McCrumb, officiating. Burial will be in Mars Cemetery in Adams Township.
