Donald and Elva Maxwell of Butler celebrated 65 years of marriage with a family dinner at Michael's Restaurant

The former Elva Lane married Maxwell on April 10, 1940, at the parsonage of Hill United Presbyterian Church in Butler.

They have a daughter, Arlene Kaufman of New Sewickley Township. They also have four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Maxwell is retired from Armco in Butler.

Mrs. Maxwell is retired from sales at Workingman's Store and Jaffe's department store, both in Butler.
