Stanley J. Wojtyna
Stanley J. Wojtyna, 93, of 101 Nixon Ave. died Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born July 13, 1911, in Lyndora, he was a son of John and Mary Panek Wojtyna.
He retired in 1973 as supervisor in the stainless steel shipping department, Plant 2 at Armco-Butler Works after 40 years. He was one of the longest-living retirees from Armco.
Mr. Wojtyna was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, now St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, Lyndora. He also was a member of the Butler Knights of Columbus Council 866, a charter member of the Lyndora Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Highfield Community Center.
Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Valeria Szostak Wojtyna, whom he married May 3, 1936; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Bernice) Radvinski of Butler; a son, Vincent J. Wojtyna of Noblesville, Ind.; a brother, Edward P. Wojtyna of Butler; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A son and two daughters preceded him in death.
