Edward W. Feehan

Edward W. Feehan, 87, of Keck Road died Friday at his home.

Born in Pittsburgh, Jan. 9, 1918, he was a son of Harry and Grace Lang Feehan.

He was an alumnus of Monessen High School and graduated in 1947 from Gradwohl School of Laboratory Techniques in St. Louis, Mo.

Mr. Feehan retired from the research department at Mine Safety Appliances in Evans City after 33 years.

He was a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, Carbon Center, VFW Post 249 in Butler and the Butler City Hunting and Fishing Club. He was an avid reader.

During World War II, he served with the Army Air Corps.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Waltman Feehan, whom he married Nov. 10, 1951; a son, Randall W. Feehan and his wife, Sharon, of Butler; two daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Annette M.) Earley of Chicora and Kathleen G. Walker of Butler; five grandchildren, Mrs. Eric (Kara) Stover of Grove City, Krispen Kriner of Butler, Mrs. Brett (Erica) Michael of Cherry Point, N.C., Todd Walker of Butler and Ryan Earley of Chicora.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Kriner.

FEEHAN - Friends of Edward W. Feehan, who died Friday, April 15, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today atGEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, 210 St. Wendelin Road. The Rev. Kevin McKnight will officiate. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.A parish vigil service will be held at 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Program, Butler County Visiting Nurses Association, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
