Marie L. Schmeider, 86, of Cabot died Monday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.

Born Feb. 8, 1919, in Cabot, she was the daughter of Joseph and Louise Menken Schmeider.

She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church of Cabot. She enjoyed growing flowers, gardening and any occasion to be with people.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Pettigrew of Cabot; four brothers, Charles Schmeider of Sarver, Oscar Schmeider of Cabot, David Schmeider of Meridian and Joseph Schmeider of Cabot; and a sister, Annabelle Nemeth of Lyndora. She also is survived by a grandson, Bryan A. Schmeider of Pittsburgh; and three grandsons of Seattle, Wash.

She was preceded in death by a son, Alfred R. McDonald of Seattle; two sisters, Genevieve Edwards of New York and Rita Steetle of Cabot; and a brother, Paul Schmeider of Cabot.

SCHMEIDER - Friends of Marie L. Schmeider, who died Monday, April 25, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Barry Keurulainen and the Rev. Jason Hoerth officiating.
