Valerie N. Lagun

Valerie N. Lagun, 51, of Grove City died Tuesday at United Community Hospital after a sudden illness.

She was born Dec. 3, 1953, in Butler.

She was a Catholic and a member of AA.

She is survived by her companion, Tom Lagun at home; three children, David Porter and Donna Porter, both of Pittsburgh, and Mitchell Lagun of Grove City; three sisters, Sandra Miller of Butler, Donna Allen of Katy, Texas, and Mary Nussbaumer of Fombell; two brothers, Thomas Peth and William Peth, both of Grove City; a stepsister, April Peth of Knox, and two stepbrothers, Donald Peth of Knox and Tim Peth of California; her mother, Ellen Mae Hurley Ritenour of Grove City; and her father and stepmother, Donald and Lelia Peth of Knox.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Carter, and a son.

LAGUN - Friends of Valerie N. Lagun, who died Tuesday, April 26, 2005, will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Monsignor Edward Zeitler, pastor of Church of the Beloved Disciple Roman Catholic Church, Grove City, officiating. Interment will be in Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
