Earl William Lutz

Earl William Lutz, 76, of New Brighton died Friday at his home

Born April 6, 1929, he was the son of Harry E. and Alma Rape Lutz.

Mr. Lutz was a farmer in Zelienople for 30 years. He retired from Halstead Industries in 1990 after 30 years.

He was a life-long member of St. Peter's Reformed Church, Zelienople, where he served as an elder and deacon. He was also a member the church's Fidelity Class.

Mr. Lutz was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and cutting wood. He also enjoyed his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Miller Lutz whom he married Sept. 8, 1951; a daughter, Linda Hicks and her husband John of New Oxford; three sons, William Lutz and his wife, Cecelia, of Ellwood City, Raymond Lutz and his wife, Sherri, of Gloucester, Va. and Neal Lutz and his wife, Kathy, of Prospect; a sister, Ruth Oster of Pittsburgh and 10 grandchildren, William, Alicia, Daniel, David and Adam Lutz, Benjamin, Scott and Sarah Hicks and Jesse and Shawn Evans.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Lutz.

LUTZ - Friends of Earl William Lutz, who died Friday, April 29, 2005, will be received from noon to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday atBOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday at St. Peter's Reformed Church, 314-320 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. The Rev. James Bertoti, church pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Peter's Reformed Church Cemetery, Zelienople.Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter's Reformed Church, 314 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, PA 16063.
