Margaret K. Younkins

Margaret K. Younkins, 95, formerly of East Brady Street and the Terrance Apartments, died at 4:35 a.m. Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.

Born July 25, 1909, in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth White Kerr.

Mrs. Younkins was a homemaker and had worked at Calvary Day Care and Natili's North restaurant and for Dr. Leroy Potter.

She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge 463 of Queen Elizabeth Lodge, where she was a past grand matron.

Surviving are four sons, Clifford L. and Raymond A. Younkins, both of Butler, Lester A. Younkins of Portsmouth, Va., and Gerald L. Younkins of Kenilworth, N.J.; a daughter, Patricia J. Younkins of Westfield, N.J.; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford D. Younkins, who died Dec. 1, 1969; four sisters, and three brothers.

YOUNKINS - Friends of Margaret K. Younkins, who died Saturday, May 21, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday atTHOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. David Panther, her church pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at McVille Union Cemetery, Armstrong County.Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 200 E.
