Margaret T. Schiebel
Margaret T. "Peg" Schiebel, lovingly known as Granny or Grams, 94, formerly of North Monroe Street and the YWCA Personal Care Home, died Sunday evening at Sunnyview Home.
Born in Summit Township, Oct. 3, 1910, she was a daughter of Frank and Theresa Knauer Wolfe.
She was a homemaker, raised 10 children and enjoyed being a waitress at the Summit Diner on Route 422 in Summit Township at the age of 70; where she loved showing off the tattoo on her arm that she had done for her 71st birthday. She also enjoyed bingo and visiting the casinos to play the slot machines.
Mrs. Schiebel was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman, the Herman Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and the Poor Souls' Society.
Surviving are eight children, Arthur "Buz" Schiebel of Butler, Clarence "Sonny" Schiebel and his wife, Ruth, of Chicora, Mrs. Elmer (Pearl) Osche of Butler, Ronald Schiebel and his wife, Wilma, of San Antonio, Texas, Carol "Sis" Stepp and Sandy Boldstridge, both of Butler, Mrs. David (Bonnie) Winters of Carbondale and James Schiebel and his wife, Marcy of Butler; and a brother, Clarence Wolfe of Butler. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren also survive.
Her husband, Bernard P. "Spark" Schiebel, died Sept. 18, 1986. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Irene Schnur, who died July 7, 2004, and a son Gerald "Jerry" Schiebel, who died July 5, 2005.
SCHIEBEL --- A Mass of Christian burial for Margaret T. "Peg" Schiebel, who died Sunday, July 17, 2005, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Herman. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Blind Association of Butler, 322 N.
