Margaret J. Say
Margaret J. Say, 94, formerly of Butler, died June 7 at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, Calif.
Born June 1, 1911, in Butler, she was the daughter of Paul and Margaret Roach Kramer. Her mother died at an early age and her father remarried to Meliss Gallagher Kramer.
She was a homemaker and a mother. She was active in the Lyndora YMCA in her younger years; and in later years she was involved in the YWCA, where she gave bridge lessons. Her favorite hobbies were reading, playing bridge and attending ballet performances. She was an avid cat lover all her life.
Mrs. Say was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Butler, where she taught Sunday school, was a Communion assistant and sang in the choir for many years.
In 2002, she moved to Hawaii to live with her daughter; and in 2005, she moved to California to live in an assisted living facility.
Surviving are two daughters, Susanne Eisler of Kaneohe, Hawaii, and Kathleen Wolverton of Fullerton, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
A son, William P. Say; and a great-grandson, Jeff Eisler, preceded her death.
<B>SAY</B> - A memorial service for Margaret J. Say, who died Tuesday, June 7, 2005, will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 4 at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., with the Rev.
