Ann Klein
Ann Klein, 97, of Butler went home to be with Jesus and began her heavenly life at 8:10 p.m. Thursday.
Born Oct. 21, 1907, in Elizabeth, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Haschets of Monessen.
Ann was a loving mother and homemaker. She devoted her life to her beloved children, Judy and Billy. Ann enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, history, museums, painting, picnics, long walks, traveling and taking care of her family. She especially loved reading, memorizing, studying the Bible and then teaching lessons on Sunday afternoons at home. She also enjoyed baby-sitting her grandchildren after preparing crafts and activities for their fun times together.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a Camp Lutherlyn grandmother. In later years, she attended the Butler Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Judith) McClelland of Meridian; a son, William F. Klein of Valencia; two brothers, John Haschets of Monessen and Samuel Haschets of Cranberry Township; a sister, Julia Resovich of Monessen; and two grandchildren, Rachelle Mungai of Greenville, S.C., and Chaundra Klein of Wilmington, N.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Klein; three brothers, Michael, Charles and Andrew Haschets; and two sisters, Mary Policino and Sophia Sokol.
KLEIN - There will be no visitation. A private service for Ann Klein, who died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005, was held by family friend, the Rev. Steve Noullet, assistant pastor of the Butler Assembly of God Church.
