Clyde C. Bennett
Clyde C. Bennett, 77, of Evans City died Tuesday at his home.
Born Jan. 16, 1928, in Wurtemburg, Lawrence County, he was the son of Charles and Florence Wick Bennett.
Mr. Bennett served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and was a life member of the Harmony Moose Lodge 957.
He retired from Lava Crucible, Zelienople, in 1990.
He is survived by a daughter, Diana "Dee" Robinson and her husband, Jake, of New Brighton; two sons, Clyde Randolph "Randy" Bennett and his wife, Sherry, of Zelienople and Roger A. Bennett and his wife, Amy, of Evans City; three brothers, Ralph and Dean Bennett, both of Harmony, and Thomas Bennett of Portersville; and two sisters, Dorothy Reed of Greenville and Carol Shoop of Zelienople. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jason and Tessa Robinson and Nicole and Amber Bennett; and two great-grandchildren, Zackary Robinson and Maisie Jordan. His former wife, Gertrude Egley, also survives.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Bennett, and a nephew, Craig Bennett.
<B>BENNETT</B> - Friends of Clyde C. Bennett, who died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 116 E. Main St., Evans City. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Smith officiating.
