4:32 p.m. Sept. 22 - A car driven by Cory Dittman, 22, of Butler and a vehicle driven by Melissa Rankin, 26, of Saxonburg collided at the intersection of West New Castle and North Sixth streets. Dittman's car was traveling south on North Sixth Street while Dittman's vehicle was westbound on New Castle Street. No injuries were reported.

6:49 p.m. Monday - An SUV traveling on Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township spun while making a turn, hitting a tree. The driver, a 17-year-old male from Sarver who was not identified, was flown to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment of his injuries.3:14 p.m. Monday - A three-vehicle accident occurred on Route 68 at the Ash Avenue intersection in Forward Township. A truck driven by Eli Houson, 20, of Seven Fields was westbound on Route 68 when it was involved in a head-on collision with a car driven by Jessica Book, 23, of Butler. Book's car then struck a car driven by Michelle Lentz, 33, of Butler. Book had minor injuries. Houson and Lentz weren't injured. All three drivers were wearing seat belts.6:55 a.m. Sept. 17 - A vehicle driven by Nathan Kennedy, 26, of Erie struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Robert Johnson, 52, of New Castle on Interstate 79 in Worth Township. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and weren't injured. Kennedy was cited for careless driving and failing to notify the state of a change in address.6:20 a.m. Monday - A SUV driven by Christina Joyce High, 21, of Baden was northbound on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township when it traveled across the wet road and grass median before hitting the guard rails to the southbound lanes and stopping in a traffic lane. While it was unoccupied in that lane, High's vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer. Police did not identify the truck driver. High, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured from the first accident.8:56 a.m. Monday - A car driven by Timothy Nagy, 38, of McDonald was traveling on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township when it left the wet road and struck the guard rail. Nagy, who was wearing a seat belt, wasn't injured.6:50 a.m. Monday - A car driven by Melanie Hartman, 29, of East Butler was on Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township when it slid into an unknown stopped vehicle. With no reported injuries or damage, the second vehicle left. Hartman, who was wearing a seat belt, wasn't injured. Her vehicle had minor damage to its front end.6:45 a.m. Monday - A vehicle driven by Timothy Malis, 37, of Butler was on Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township when it left the road on a curve, traveling across the lanes and striking a utility pole. Malis, who was wearing a seat belt, wasn't injured. His passenger, Nathan Allison, 18, of Butler who also was wearing a seat belt, had minor injuries.10:36 p.m. Sunday - A car driven by Michael Crider, 21, of Butler was on Route 356 near Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township when it hit a deer. Crider, who was wearing a seat belt, wasn't injured.9:45 p.m. Monday - Steven Doyle, 20, of Saxonburg has been accused of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia after police found him in the Beacon Hotel parking lot in Forward Township.1:25 p.m. Sunday - Cases Beer Distributor on Route 422 in Franklin Township reported an unidentified man driving a black Hyundai stole two 30-packs of beer.8:28 p.m. Saturday - Kevin Lynn Giesler, 47, of West Sunbury was arrested for driving under the influence after he was stopped for speeding on Route 422 just west of Mitchell Hill Road in Summit Township.7:38 p.m. Saturday - Matthew Calnahan, 20, of East Brady suffered moderate injuries when he lost control of his motorcycle on Route 68 at Medical Center Road in Chicora and hit a road sign. He was wearing a helmet.3:30 a.m. Saturday - Steven Hottenfeller, 30, of Lyndora was not injured when his car left Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township and hit a tree. He was wearing a seatbelt.1:34 a.m. Saturday - Molly E. Watson, 24, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence after a traffic stop for erratic driving on Route 8 just south of Old Plank Road in Penn Township.11:10 a.m. Friday - Kathleen Rose, 56, of Cedar Grove, Tenn., was not injured when she fell asleep while driving on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township and hit a guard rail. She was wearing a seat belt.7 a.m. Friday - Margaret Burton, 59 of East Brady was not injured when her vehicle missed a curve and hit a railroad overpass owned by the Genesee and Wyoming Railroad on Central Drive just west of Slippery Rock Road in Chicora. She was wearing a seat belt.

10:16 a.m. Sept. 20 - Five teenagers are charged with burglary and criminal trespass after breaking into the home of David Miller, 50, at 69 A Tower Road in Springfield Township. One of the teens, Stephen P. Cope, 18, of Stoneboro was found carrying several baggies of marijuana and was charged with drug possession. Cope and Justin J. Hopkins, 18, of Grove City were placed in Mercer County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond. A 16-year-old boy from Grove City was sent to the Mercer County Children and Youth Services. Another 16-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy were released to their parents.
