Robert L. Stevenson

Robert L. "Uncle Bob" Stevenson, 77, of 128 Stevenson Road, Connoquenessing Township, died at 5:55 p.m. Monday at Chicora Medical Center.

Born in Meridian, June 27, 1928, he was the son of Lloyd E. and Helen Hilliard Stevenson.

He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and owned and operated the Stevenson family farm in Connoquenessing Township.

Mr. Stevenson was a member of St. John's Reformed Church. He also belonged to the Connoquenessing Fire Department and the Pennsylvania Farmers' Association.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Turansky of Johnstown, Wanda Stevenson of Renfrew and Mrs. Carl (Jean) Daubenspeck of North Washington. Several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother.

<B>STEVENSON</B> - Friends of Robert L. "Uncle Bob" Stevenson, who died Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John's Reformed Church with the his nephew, the Rev. Kevin Neal, pastor of Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church of Aliquippa and the Rev. Dr. Robert Peterson, church pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township.Memorial donations may be made to St John's Reformed Church, Box 30 Meridian Station, Butler, PA 16001.Information also is available at www.thompson-miller.com.
