Butler Memorial Hospital will offer free mammograms for uninsured or under-insured women throughout October.

Screenings will be at the hospital and its outpatient services sites.

Appointments, which are required, can be made for these locations and dates:

Oct. 12 - Outpatient Services in Slippery Rock

Oct. 18 - Outpatient Services in Mars; and at the Butler Commons Shopping Center in Butler Township

Oct. 21 - Woman's Imaging Center at BMH

Oct. 28 - Outpatient Services in Saxonburg

Oct. 31 - Outpatient Services in East Brady

Mammograms serve as a breast cancer screening for women 40 and older. To make an appointment, call 724-284-4000.

WEST KITTANNING, Armstrong County - Armstrong County Memorial Hospital's School of Radiologic Technology will host an open house at 7 p.m. Nov. 8, in the hospital's continuing education classroom.This event is open to anyone interested in a career in radiography.
