Tracy A. Douthett-Moore, 47, of Rural Ridge-Little Deer Creek Road in Cheswick, formerly of Connoquenessing, died Wednesday as the result of an accident in West Deer Township.

Born Nov. 13, 1957, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of Katherine M. Nicklas Douthett and the late Benjamin L. Douthett, who died in 1993.

A 1975 graduate of Butler High School, she received a degree in horticulture in 1999 from Penn State through the Community College of Allegheny County. She was the current horticulturist at Wildwood Golf Club, Allison Park.

She was a member of the Rural Ridge Historical Society, the Emmerling House Committee and the Rural Ridge School House Committee. She also was a Cub Scout leader.

She will best be remembered for her gift of laughter, her kind heart, her wonderful sense of humor and quick wit, her love of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and her passion of gardening. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Surviving are her husband, Albert, and their son Nathan Moore; her mother of Connoquenessing; three sisters and a brother, Lorraine K. Douthett of Forest Hills, Daniel L. and Mary Douthett of Transfer, Rebecca L. and Jack Herd of Harrison Township, Mich., and Cindy L. and Dave Tolfa of Aliquippa; her mother-in-law Anna Moore of McCandless Township; and a sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Paul Holzer, David and Donna Moore and Brian and Judy Moore. Also surviving are nine nephews, seven nieces, a grandniece and many special friends.

A brother, Douglas W. Douthett, died in 1985.

DOUTHETT-MOORE - Friends of Tracy A. Douthett-Moore, who died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, 328 W. Main St., Evans City. A service will follow at 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Alexander Poshyvajlo, a very special friend and pastor of St. Michael Church in Curtisville, officiating.Visitation also will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Norman Tutino, pastor of St. Paul's United Church of Christ of Connoquenessing, officiating.
