Robert Clark Pritts

Robert Clark "Bob" Pritts, 79, of West Eldorado Road in Parker died Monday in the presence of his loving family.

Born June 2, 1926, in Meyersdale, Somerset County, he was a son of Clark U. and Flora Faidley Pritts.

He worked in maintenance at Mine Safety Appliance for 18 years until 1977. He then was the road master for Connoquenessing Township for 10 years and retired in 1988.

Mr. Pritts was a World War II Army veteran and was a member of the VFW Post 7840 in Cherry Valley.

An avid horseshoe pitcher, he was a lifelong member of the Butler County Horseshoe League and last pitched for the Hooker team. He was also a life member of the Coon Hunters of Western Pennsylvania and a member of the Bruin Volunteer Fire Department, the Valley Dam Sportsman's Club, the Hazelhurst Volunteer Fire Department and the A.A.R.P.

He was a member of the Crestview Presbyterian Church in Callery.

Surviving are his wife, Norma J. Daubenspect Pritts, whom he married Sept. 26, 1987; a son, Donald Clark Pritts and his companion, Phyllis, of Six Points in Allegheny Township; three daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Joyce) Nicklas, Mrs. Richard "O.B." (Barbara) O'Barto and Cathy Young, all of Evans City; and a brother and his wife, Dean and Dolores Pritts of Florida. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A sister, Eleanor Kane, preceded him in death.
