Philomen L. Beck

Philomen L. Beck, 87, of New Haven Court, formerly of Butler, died Friday in Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 27, 1917, she was the daughter of Carlo and Louisa DeFoggi Acquaviva.

A homemaker, Mrs. Beck was employed at Butler Armco during World War II and was a former accountant for 14 years at A.R.C. and the Butler YMCA.

She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, belonging to the Altar Ladies and 55 and Alive, and an 11th Airborne Division Angelette.

Mrs. Beck is survived by two sons, Andrew A. Beck Jr. of Connecticut and Robert A. Beck of Butler; three brothers, Ronald and Joseph Leonard Acquaviva of Butler; one sister, Mrs. Rose Brough; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew A. Beck Sr., who died Feb. 7, 2002; two brothers and a sister.

<B>BECK</B> - Friends of Philomen Beck, who died Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave., Butler. Services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. James Dolan officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Mausoleum. St. Michael's Bereavement Group will conduct a spiritual wake service at 3 p.m. Monday.
