Floyd McClymonds
Floyd Calvin McClymonds, 86, of Portersville, died Saturday morning at Grove Manor Nursing Home in Grove City.
Born May 2, 1919, in Portersville, he was the son of Ralph and Letitia Frazier McClymonds.
A graduate of the Burnside School in Portersville, he served in the Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He was a retired, self-employed truck driver.
Surviving are four sons, Gary McClymonds and his wife, Donna, and Calvin McClymonds and his wife, Darlene, all of Portersville; Jeff McClymonds and his wife, Patty, of Slippery Rock; and Steve McClymonds and his wife, Carol, of Fairfax, Va.
Also surviving are three sisters, Florence Barkley of Harmony, Mary Lunn and her husband, Walter, of Prospect and Bertha Barrett and her husband, Jack, of Fernandina Beach Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Mae Cooper McClymonds, whom he married May 13, 1951. Two brothers, Fred McClymonds and Clark McClymonds, also preceded him in death.
<B>McCLYMONDS</B> - Friends of Floyd Calvin McClymonds, who died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Baptist Church, 154 Currie Road, Worth Township. Funeral services with full military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
