McFeely sets mark in loss
Slippery Rock University point guard Amber McFeely became The Rock's all-time leader in assists Tuesday night as SRU fell to Fairmont State (W.Va.) University, 73-58.
McFeely now has 423 assists in her career, passing Kathy Lisman Wood, who had 422 from 1978-82.
Amanda Chojnacki scored 21 points for The Rock, which trailed by just five at the half.
The Rock will travel to Mercyhurst Saturday and will open its home schedule Tuesday against West Liberty State (W.Va.) College.

Slippery Rock University volleyball players Sara Kirsch and Anastasia Urbanik were named as first-team NCAA Division II All-Atlantic Region performers Tuesday.Urbanik also received rookie of the year honors.A freshman middle blocker, Urbanik led The Rock and ranked fourth in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference in kills with 3.72 per game. She also led the team in blocks with 94 and was fourth in aces with 39.Her .336 kill percentage was the second-best mark in SRU volleyball history, while her 425 kills ranked 11th in school history.Kirsch, a junior setter, led the conference in assists with 12.51 per game and ranked fourth in the PSAC in aces with 55 in 112 games.
